What is Forest School?

Children enjoy a term of weekly sessions of Forest School, each year as they progress through the school. This enables them to experience our local woodland through different seasons and in all weathers.

We have our own Forest School site - a natural woodland environment - a short walk from the school and on the edge of the Ashdown Forest.

Forest School offers our young learners the opportunity to take supported risks which builds resilience and confidence. The experience promotes holistic development: physical, emotional, social, spiritual and intellectual. Our approach is a  learner-centred process, led by our trained and reflective leader, Daniel Goldsmith.

I like Forest School because we have fun.

I liked when we put mud on our faces!
